Weekend 16-17/2

We went with Noridas class to the agri park D-Paradise in Melaka. Aida was warm in the morning so we weren'r really sure how to do. We gave her paracetamol that helped so we went along as planned.
D-Paradise had loads of different fruits grwoing of which some were for testing. Yummy.
Aida was quite well when we were there, playing with the students and running around. But she seemed to lose a bit of steam in the end and didn't want to eat very much for lunch.
When we were done we made the continuing trip to Muar and as soon as we reached there Aida got her heat back and were just laying on the floor watching TV.
When she been laying all afternoon and started shivering we decided to bring her to a klinik to have her checked. Her throat were badly swollen and a bit of fever so she got the usual stuff, antibiotics, "phlem thinner", cough syrup and paracetamol.
She kept whining all night and feeling warm so Norida was up most of the night wiping her with a wet cloth. Poor them.
Aida was a little bit better in the mroning and was up a little bit more.
We left after zuhur and reached home around 16:30 and then she had enough energy to request a visit to the playground. But dark clouds swooped in so they turned back again.

Terenganu 10/2

The last day in Terenganu. Though we left at 9 so it was not much of a day.
I had loads of pancakes for breakfast and than we went sea-shell looking and playing in the sand.
We reached home somewhat after 21. That include three stops for Terenganu things (Handycraft and Keropok) shopping, petrol fill up, tummy fill up I (lunch), praying, tummy fill up II (dinner). Also slowing us down was very long queues for the toll boths. It not enough with paying for the roads you have to spend an hour to wait to actually pay as well.
But we reach home safely and the house were as we left it so why complain too much.

Terenganu 9/2

An even better sleep and we were ready for a trip to the state museum of Terenganu, boasting that it is the biggest in Malaysia. It just went to show that size isn't everything. They had loads of space but not that much to look at.
After that we took a bus to do the trip to the Islamic cultural area and the crystal Masjid and never left the bus as it was not ready yet.
After that we went for lunch and finished off with ice-cream goreng (fried ice-cream) that was so so as I am not fond of cheap chocolate ice-cream.
Norida wanted to do some more clothes shopping, but it is impossible with both the kids, which would mean I would have to stay somewhere and watch them. So I stayed in the hotel room with Adam watching Harry Potter and having a nap.
Aida followed Norida shopping.
When Adam and me woken up, the girls come back and we had our afternoon tea with keropok lengkor we all set out for kite flying, playing in the sand and swimming.
That was great fun, Adam really enjoyed playing in the sand and Aida was really enjoying flying kite.
The surprise of the day came when we went for the pool and Adam jumped into me and really started splashing around. Beforehand he always been reserved about pooling, but now he fully enjoyed himself. We didn't stay in for too long as all of us (at least me and Adam) started shivering. So up we went for a hot shower and then off for dinner.
We went for a seafood restaurant, were we had to wait forever for the food. But the food was nice at least and we all were satisfied afterwards.
It was almost 22 before we all were tucked into bed and I was still feeling a little bit cold after the swim.

Terenganu 8/2

I had a terrible sleep. For being a four star hotel the pillows really sucked. We all got up and went for our breakfast buffet. The buffet were a I wide selection so we got nicely stuffed. After that we set out to visit the town market, to buy clothes and stuff. Actually Norida went shopping clothes and the kids and I ate the stuff we bought. It turned out they really like tamarind. So they finished half of the bag we got. On the way back Norida picked up some lunch and at the hotel we tried to put Adam to sleep for his midday nap so we could have a full afternoon. The afternoon was spent looking for a boat boulder, that wasn't open, before we went for ice-cream on the beach. The wind kept blowing from the sea at a nice breezy speed, which made it ideal for kite flying. So we bought one with Tiggr and Pooh. Aida wouldn't let anybody else use the kite. So Adam and me played in the sand instead. The kids had been talking about swimming so we went back to the hotel and changed so they could have a go at it. Aida loved it and Adam was reserved as usual. I decided to try the South China Sea. It was great fun standing in the waves as I didn't dared to go swimming anyway. Two or three people drowned at a beach further south in Terenganu the day before. We had another dinner out and this time it was the kids who hit the jackpot with a lovely mee chicken soup. We were later on that day as we didn't reach our room until after 21. So we got a later sleep.

Terenganu 7/2

If I known how long time it took to get there, I would have stayed at home instead.
A four day trip and the first day were spent going there and the last day spent going home, which left two days there. Not worth that hustle at all.

7/2
We set off at 9 and arrived at 18. After lunch break, praying break, and a snack break.
We got a room on the tenth floor, a little bit too high if you ask me.
When we reached our floor the kids saw the swimming pool and got really excited.
Then we went to our room, which Norida explained wouldn't have a sea-view and just a double bed, which is a little bit annoying when traveling with kids. Oh by the way the kids were really patiently sitting in their car seats throughout the trip.
Anyway when we got into the room it had sea-view and two single beds and were one of the bigger rooms on our floor (unless you booked a suite).
It was nice, we could here the waves beating against beach. Very nice and relaxing.
Aida looked out at the sea and said "I don't want to swim in that pool!". Certainly made my day.
We were all hungry so we went out for dinner. I was the most satisfied as my Tom-Yam was really yummy.
After the dinner we went home showered and prepared for bed. So just after 21 we were all nicely tucked in in bed.
All of us were asleep by 22 lullabyed to sleep by the waves.

Visit Terenganu 2008???

It is a Visit Terenganu year, so we had to there. Actually the trip has been planned for a while.
Going there made it look like it they were in preparation for a Visit Terenganu 2009 year rather than the event being held this year. They've been building miniature Masjids (Mosques) and a full size Crystal Masjid, which were officially opened by the king on the 8th of February.
Was it ready? Nope!
Could you have a good look? Nope!
Did the road look like a crappy version of the road to my parents in laws house? Yap!
So my advice is. Don't Visit Terenganu 2008. Visit Terenganu 2009 or maybe not at all as it takes forever to get there.
